Sometimes love just ain't enough
Monday, May 16, 2011
I don't wanna lose you, But I don't wanna use you Just to have somebody by my side. And I don't wanna hate you I don't wanna take you But I don't wanna be the one to cry. And I don't really matter To anyone, anymore. But like a fool I keep losing my place And I keep seeing you walk through that door. But there's a danger in loving somebody too much And it's sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust. There's a reason why people don't stay where they are Baby sometimes love just ain't enough. Now I could never change you I don't wanna blame you Baby you don't have to take the fall. Yes I may have hurt you But I did not desert you Maybe I just want to have it all. It makes a sound like thunder It makes me feel like rain. And like a fool who will never see the truth I keep thinking something's gonna change. But there's a danger in loving somebody too much And it's sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust. There's a reason why people don't stay where they are Baby sometimes love just ain't enough. And there's no way home When it's late at night and you're all alone. Are there things that you wanted to say? Do you feel me beside you in your bed? There beside you where I used to lay. And there's a Danger in Loving somebody too much And it's sad when you know it's your heart they can't touch. There's a reason why people don't stay who they are Baby sometimes love just ain't enough Baby sometimes love just ain't enough lovely

Having gone through a tough week, I decided to spend the Saturday trying to bake my first cake. The cake turned out like a pancake, flat and hard and I think it has to do with not putting baking soda. So I made oxtail stew instead.First you heat up some olive oil in a casserole, fry some bacon cubes in this, add seasoned oxtail and brown them for a few minutes, taking care not to burn the bacon. Add carrots, leek, celery, sage, parsley and some red wine and oyster sauce. Let the alcohol bubble away, add water, cover it and let it stew in the oven for 3 and 1/2 hour. HOW CAN IT NOT TASTE NICE? Try cooking most meats for 3 hours at least and they all taste good. Serve it with mash potatoes. I feel like Martha Stewart. In fact, I was just thinking about the most wonderful things in my life. Some of them aren't that accessible, but the simplest things that put a foolish grin on my face are actually readily available! heheh. note: I'll figure out what went wrong for the cake and try it some other time. Meanwhile, I'll need to survive the week. Its getting tough, and tougher. yea

I am thinking some frivolous post might take my mind off the inevitable. Think I've been too cooped up with something called school, nothing seems to excites me these days. It's getting scary and.. Well. How about fleeing???? You know i've always toyed with the idea of abandoning EVERYTHING and taking flight. HAHAHAHA that would be funny....or not really....i don't know, I guess some people wouldn't find it funny, it would probably take alot of humour to find it funny. Like when someone asks me to shut up when I ramble on and on about a certain thing. I just burst out laughing, because on one hand it's somewhat deliberate, on the other, I actually let myself obsess about a thing because it feels so good. To have an opinion, to have to fight about something, rather than just letting it pass you by. One day, let us flee. Religion

I can go on and on about religion. How I don't subscribe to it, the events leading to being agnostic, how its fanatic believers would be ironically the roots of many historical and possibly future catastrophes.I believe, like everything else, religion has to be balanced. This is my religion. I give thanks that God has granted me the faith to believe that I could change things for the better just by being alive. But to subscribe to a particular faith through insistence that the bible, the quran or that through reciting the sutra I could ultimately gain enlightenment or be forgiven, I'll pass thank you. Religion is marketed in many ways, there is the coercion of fear, there are the social support cell groups, word of mouth, entertaining pastors on TV and religious albums. I have had my brush with faith, it didn't blossom, but it didn't disintegrate my concept of a higher being watching over us. My main reason for being agnostic however, would be my lack of knowledge in this arena. Sure i've read the Bible, and know the many ways of Buddhism. But I''m neither familiar with the Islamic faith nor Hinduism to completely surrender myself to one God, knowing that I can't kowtow to the Ultimate Supreme without sheepishly looking over my shoulder to see if everyone else is doing the same. So. For the time being, I am open to all 'recommendations' and pitches. But don't put too much faith in it. crazy

I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mindThere was something so pleasant about that phase. Even your emotions had to let go In so much space And when you're out there Without care, Yeah, I was out of touch But it wasn't because I didn't know enough I just knew too much Does that make me crazy Does that make me crazy Does that make me crazy Probably ---------------------------------------------Gnarls Barkley all's good

it's been a while ya.Actually, I had a few opportunities to update this thing but never did. For stupid reasons like, 1. I don't know how to conclude. 2. They sounded a bit stupid. or... would you say, plain laziness. So, waltzing in and out.. "We can smile about the happy times, hell we'll even smile about the hard times." Today I played bridge with some friends. The last time we did that was about 200 years ago. I almost forgot about my luck with gambling (or the lack of it). I look at my friends and think, hell our group's dynamics can be so bizzare, but 8 year-old friends don't just disappar. They stick around. We want to throttle each other's throats sometimes, and our eccentricities sometimes gets the better of us, but... not buts, I still get the urge of wanting to smack them. ._.

There is a man/woman I know that never fails to drop torrents of accusations on me and repeatedly reminding what I should do and should not have done. We only meet once a year for a two hour long meal and I think today's one sided conversation(with him/her) was more than enough to make me blow off my top. I dont think the conversation is any appropriate to be put up here and hey, it was a ONE sided convo... ( i had concluded I would be a true blue stewpid fool to reply him) But what I really wanted to say to him was: "What are you? A 5 year old?", "Is this the best you can do to know a person?" I know I'm being a bitch here, but what happened to basic manners especially to someone you meet once a year? Is it just me or is it baffling that this single guy/girl in his late thirties just didnt know how else to know a person better? late thirties i hear?!?! and if the "thrill" you get from picking on people satisfy your oh-so-empty soul, so be it. If accomplishing nothing at your age doesnt bother you, then so be it again. Yes, I feel rather scathed from this but it is hard to tell if the whole thing was fundamentally flawed, and the circumstances that lead to it were certainly unfortunate and unnecessary. But one thing's for sure, avoid meeting jerks or bastards like him, and remember why you kept your mouth shut in the first place. Happy tiger year everyone! Roarrrrr~ |
